Welcome to the world Zack!

10th July 2017 - welcome to the world, zack!

At 12:38, Zack English was born at Burnley Hospital. Weighing 7lbs2oz I was a perfectly healthy little boy, I came out without a sound, and hardly cried! 

The first thing I saw when I opened my huge dark brown eyes was Daddy looking down at me, smiling! I then got put in a very comfy warm blanket and onto a trolley where me, mummy and daddy all went for the rest of the day! 

I didn't make much noise, and I was very tired, all I really wanted to do was sleep!

Sleep, and more sleep

Today, basically all I did was sleep! I didn't cry once either!

Out of the 4 babies on our ward, I was the only one who didn't make a noise from 9pm until 6am - I let Mummy sleep even though she kept checking on me, I didn't make a peep!

My New Home

From Burnley hospital to Preston!

The nurses said mummy was well enough today to let me leave hospital, so around lunch-time we jumped into Daddy's car and drove very slowly all the way back to Preston (via a cheeky McDonalds for a McFlurry because it was very sunny!)

My new home was decorated with a big white banner saying "Welcome Home Baby Zack!" - I think my Grandma and Grandad must have done this - it looked very good and we had lots of cards from neighbours, all saying hello to me

Mummy was very tired after her big operation to get me out, so I led next to her in my Sleepyhead which is very comfy - and we slept for a few hours like this. I didn't leave much room for Daddy, but he didn't mind. 

Today, I found my voice!

I though that I'd been pretty quiet the last couple of days, so I would make sure Mummy and Daddy knew that I did have a very loud voice, and I could scream just like the other babies that were in hospital with me. 

Stripey Jumper

I'm not sure if Mummy put me in this top on purpose, because I had been screaming and making purring noises all night, but I wasn't complaining - I love this colourful jumper!

Today, I think Mummy and Daddy are taking me shopping - I'm looking forward to going back in the car and seeing more of the world!

My First Time Outside! 

Today, Mummy and Daddy took me shopping! It was a very hot sunny day, and I didn't like the sun very much!

Here's a few photos of me throughout the day! All this traveling around made me very sleepy, so I had a good nap when I got home - on my comfy cushion.

Getting in Daddy's Car!

Here I am outside my Daddy's car - he promises to drive very slowly with me and I promise I wont ever be sick in his car!

Mummy and Daddy took me in this shop to look at new sofa's and baby things - it was a bit boring, but I slept most of the time anyway!

Our new sofa!

Mummy and Daddy are very happy with our new sofa! They said they can sit together with their feet out, and I can sit on the footstool or in the comfy corner!

Painting my new bedroom!

When we got home, my Grandad was round at home painting my new bedroom! I wont be moving in here for a while, but it was nice to see the room being made ready for me!

Also, Daddy ordered me a new carpet today because he didn't think I would like the cold laminate floor on my hands and knees when I start crawling around - so apparently next week a bright silver grey fluffy soft carpet is being fitted! I can't wait to see it!

Apparently I am having 3 white walls and 1 grey wall which I think will look really nice with my new white cot!

Meanwhile.......

While everyone was working hard, I thought I would get some shut-eye, so I dozed off peacefully in my new baby bouncer!

My VIVI Sleepsuit!

Daddy was really excited about putting me in this sleepsuit for some reason! He said that he bought this as soon as he found out that he was going to become a Dad, and this was the very first thing he bought for me!

He says it is important to him, because it is a character from his favourite computer game Final Fantasy, and that he travelled all the way to Tokyo in Japan to see where this game was made - and at some point during that during that holiday with Mummy, I was made!
