Photographing Georgia and Ryan’s wedding at the stunning Kirklinton Hall ruins in Carlisle was a magical experience from start to finish. Despite the rainy weather, they chose to go ahead with their outdoor ceremony, surrounded by family and friends holding umbrellas. The atmosphere was incredibly romantic — raindrops falling softly over the ancient stone walls, with soft light filtering through the clouds, creating the perfect moody backdrop for truly unforgettable wedding photos.
Georgia looked absolutely breathtaking in her wedding dress — elegant, timeless, and perfect for the setting. Her gown flowed beautifully as she walked through the rain-soaked grass, the ruins of Kirklinton Hall rising behind her like something from a fairytale. The love and emotion between her and Ryan was so easy to capture, with every moment feeling genuine and full of joy, despite the weather.
Later in the evening, just when we thought the magic had peaked, the clouds parted and treated us to a golden sunset across the Cumbrian countryside. We took full advantage of the light, slipping away for some intimate portraits in the soft glow. The contrast between the rainy ceremony and the warm sunset gave their gallery an incredible variety of moods — a true reflection of their beautiful day at one of Cumbria’s most unique wedding venues.
