When it comes to weddings that feel like they’ve been lifted straight from a storybook, Emma and Tom’s big day at Browsholme Hall and Tithe Barn in Lancashire certainly fits the bill. Despite a few spells of classic British weather, their wedding was filled with joy, colour, and unforgettable moments—making it one of the most beautiful weddings at Browsholme Hall I’ve had the pleasure to photograph.
Stunning Pastel Bridesmaid Dresses
One of the standout elements of Emma and Tom’s wedding day was the gorgeous selection of pastel bridesmaid dresses. Emma’s bridal party looked stunning in a mix of soft pastel tones, each bridesmaid wearing a different shade that complimented her personality and style. While the weather didn’t quite bring the sunshine we’d hoped for, it certainly didn’t dampen the spirits. Emma and Tom were absolute stars, embracing the drizzle and heading outdoors for their couple’s portraits. The result? Moody skies, romantic lighting, and some truly memorable moments captured in nature. Browsholme Hall offers an incredible backdrop no matter the weather, and we made full use of its beautiful grounds.
One of the highlights of the afternoon was the newlyweds venturing out in the little rowing boat on the lake—a whimsical and romantic moment that added a real wow-factor to their gallery. As Tom took the oars (with a little help from Emma!), their bridesmaids cheered from the lakeside, wrapped in shawls and laughing along. Despite Tom's slightly questionable rowing skills, we managed to capture some stunning drone photos of this magical scene.
The Tithe Barn Wedding Reception – A Party to Remember
As day turned to evening, the celebrations moved into the Old Tithe Barn at Browsholme Hall, a rustic yet elegant venue that's perfect for a wedding reception. With its exposed beams, twinkling fairy lights, and warm atmosphere, it set the scene for an incredible night.
The dance floor quickly became the heart of the celebration, with friends and family dancing, laughing, and soaking in every moment. From the first dance to the final song, the energy was electric and the love in the room was palpable. The barn truly came to life, and it’s safe to say Emma and Tom’s wedding ended on the highest of highs.
