What a beautiful country house Lake District wedding venue the Merewood is! This was my first time to this secluded wedding venue, hidden away between Windermere and Ambleside. Seeing the building appear through the trees as I drove up the long and winding driveway, I was stunned at what a fantastic location this was!

Tamlyn was with her bridesmaids upstairs getting ready as I arrived, her view overlooking Windermere - not a bad room to get ready in by any accounts!!
Tamlyn and Sean were married at 11:30 in the beautiful ballroom again overlooking the gardens and lake in the distance, before everyone enjoyed catching up over a drink or two during the drinks reception at the Merewood infront of it's open fires and dark wooden walls - it was a real friendly country house atmosphere, even more so as the weather outside was typical November Lake-District weather, although we did dodge the rain showers for some photos outside later in the afternoon.

It was clear to see that Tamlyn and Sean had a very close-knit bunch of friends from across the world, who they wanted to spend their day with - it felt like an old friends reunion throughout the building. Later, everyone danced the night away whilst Agent Smith Party Band rocked the dancefloor of the Merewood.
Country House Wedding Venue Lake District
One of my favourite photos, as I left that night, just before getting into my car, I turned and looked back at the Merwood, which looked warm and inviting against the cold November sky outside - meanwhile everyone inside was still dancing away and enjoying themselves!
